Specialist Hand Therapy Service
Hand therapy is a specialised area of rehabilitation focused on treating conditions affecting the hands, wrists, and upper extremities
It involves a combination of therapeutic interventions, including exercises, manual techniques, splinting, and patient education, tailored to each individual’s needs. These needs will be identified through completion of a comprehensive assessment.
I work closely with patients to restore function, mobility, and independence following injuries such as fractures, tendon or nerve injuries, arthritis, or repetitive strain injuries.
Through targeted interventions, hand therapy aims to reduce pain, improve strength and range of motion, enhance dexterity and coordination, and optimise overall hand function for daily activities and tasks.
